Ask E. Jean - Tormented? Driven Witless? Whipsawed by confusion?

Advice Vixens

Is it possible to remain fashionable when pregnant? Everything feels like a tent and everything resembling beautiful left the building long ago. Any tips?

Well, I'm no fashion guru, but I always find that it's always a good idea to accentuate your best features. And there's nothing more beautiful than the glow of a pregnant woman (as long as the fetus doesn't belong to me). So yeah, ditch the tent and go with something that shows off your newly aquired cute preggo shape.

Here's a better question: Do you really care? Chances are, they're jealous. It's the glow Tiffany--definitely the glow. They can't have you outshining them!

Personally, I don't like seeing fat people wearing next to nothing I don't care what anyone says, when you're pregnant, you're fat. Fat is fat, there are no excuses. So cover it up. Nobody wants to see it.

    Case and point.

I LOVE the direction this is going in! The days of dressing like a child just because you're carrying one are over! I LOVE to see women wearing clothes that show the form of the belly, it makes me smile...and if some people don't like it, well, they don't have to look.

Ewe, what's your problem...pregnancy is not fat, it's a miracle.

Tiff, havent you heard of that gorgeous pregnant glow? First of all, you are gorgeous before and after pregnancy, and second of all, well yeah. You rock. I have always been a fan of long flowy skirts and dresses on pregnant chicks, though it is winter so i dunno. Oh and empire waists were designed for your loverly largerly bewbies.

OOh I just got a visual of you in a toga and golden rope. Well that might not be a bad look - very earth mother meets preggo. Hehe.

Absolutely! There are so many options for you, especially with empire waistlines and looser fitting clothes being back in style.

There is nothing more beautiful than someone appreciated their body, especially when it is going through some absolutely fantastic things like giving birth! Show your baby bump or mound, whichever it may be! Wrap dresses would work wonderfully (but make sure to keep the girls covered up) and great tunics with leggings. Both comfortable and stylish choices!

Talia, you were doing this a few weeks ago, why are you resurrecting threads from 4 years ago? There are enough current threads to comment on! How and why are you even finding these?

Nothing is more beautiful than bringing life into the world. If you're feeling that you aren't looking your best right now, just think of the joy you are carrying, be proud of it and your happiness will radiate!

Outfit-wise, empire-cut knee-lengths and maxis complement your new curves :-) Here's Miroslava Duma looking divine: http://bit.ly/unG1Ab

If you have nice legs, short dresses will do. Get a touch up with hair and makeup- not too dramatic once in a while. And keep happy..

A man with good hands and a good peppermint foot soak is a great start.
Next make him paint your toes.
Then take your happy self in comfy shoes and your best outfit fashionably advised from the vixens above and take yourself to your spa. One that specializes in massage for pregnant women is best. Take a girl friend with you, then do a nice lunch. Hopefully some place nice where you can sit if need be, that is relaxing and inspiring. When you feel good, you look good. Even in a track suit.
